35"x25" Archival print of Amber and Clover painting
35"x25" Archival print of Amber and Clover painting
35" x 25" Archival pigment print on paper.
This print is made by DOT Editions in Asheville, NC. This is what they say on their website about their prints: Pigment prints, commonly called giclées, are produced using archival inks and a selection of cotton rag papers.
This large print is made from the painting Amber and Clover, which is a painting I made in 2017 with black walnut ink on cotton.
At the time I photographed Amber and Clover for this painting, I was living in a community house of which Amber and Clover were a part. I loved being around Amber breast feeding her new baby and I wanted to capture that and paint it. Amber was gracious enough to come into my studio to be photographed. This painting feels very iconic to me. Amber here is like the mother archetype. She also had that presence in out community house.
